Board Certified Behavioral Analyst
Kayla is a board-certified behavioral analysis who has worked in the field for the past 6 years providing intensive behavioral health services to a wide variety of clients. Kayla has worked within the home and school settings with clients to aide in their success within the least restrictive environment. She specializes in working with children with Autism spectrum disorder as well as many other behavioral and emotional disorders. Kayla works closely with clients and their families to address environmental and emotional concerns that could be impacting their daily living. She has provided treatment to clients with trauma, neglect, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, fragile x syndrome, and mood disorders.
Kayla started in the field as a therapeutic staff support to clients and over the years has spent time specifically studying Autism and Applied Behavioral Analysis. Kayla has worked as a Behavioral Consult as well as a BCBA providing IBHS/BHRS services to Westmoreland county. She holds a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice as well as a minor in chemistry and psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Kayla then went on to earn her Masters of Special Education: Applied Behavioral Analysis from California University of Pennsylvania. She obtained her Behavioral Specialist License from the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. More recently Kayla obtained her Board-Certified Behavioral Analysis certificate from the Board Analyst Certification Board.
Kayla’s primary modalities of treatment include Applied Behavioral Analysis, Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Expressive Art Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Kayla aims to build a strong rapport with clients and their family to build trust within the relationship to better achieve therapeutic
milestones.
